Bohemian Fashion with Karin

I met Karin one morning at what has become one of my favourite locations for bohemian fashion. We kept it simple with natural light and a softbox. Karin is really inspiring to work with and a natural in front of the camera. I think the shoot worked very well. What do you think?

Here's how the shoot came about.

Up!

Inspired by the beautiful animated story Up, Sarah and I took to the Swedish country side one cold and snowy March morning, with balloons in tow. In these conditions you have to work fast to create high quality fashion photography and it helps if you are as professional as Sarah.. and warm blankets is always a bonus.

Winter Romantic

A very cold and windy, but sunny day, in early March, Hanna and I met up in Stockholm to create some spring-inspired romantic images. Let’s just say it was cold, not for me but for Hanna, which she doesn’t show one bit.

Sarah

In between the showers Sarah Amy Eckardt and I found some time for a test shoot. Very simple setup with all natural light. Just a reflector bouncing some of the soft light back into Sarah’s face. A Canon EOS 5D Mark III and a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 does the rest.
What do you think?

Read about how we created these images.

Solar Eclipse

It’s not every day that you get to experience a solar eclipse, if just a partial. Today was one of those days.

The forecast was for cloudy weather, so I wasn’t really prepared when I woke up to just a few light clouds in the sky this morning. Just after 9am I set off in –15C, with camera in hand, in pursuit for the best spot to see the eclipse. Found a spot a grabbed a few frames. Here’s the first, just before it all started…

New Life

One of my favourite local spots seems to be going through a bit of a change. There were actually people there this weekend seemingly busy to try to clear the area of junk and debris. The place isn’t going to look respectable anytime soon is my prediction, but at least I got the chance to shoot it again in all it’s glory. We were even a bit lucky with the light.

Here are a few of the images. It’s all natural light. Some are HDR. I’ll try to post a few more in a few days. Enjoy!
